The Trojans fell short of their goals this season, but it wasn’t for their lack of effort. Rough patches and tough schedules led to a 9-13 overall record in 2020, but the performances of the girls and team as a whole were on display from opening day all the way to the final serve.
There were seven of the 14 players on the team that played in all 22 games. All seven played in every set this year. Breanna Benge, Adi Adreon, and Kendall Krichau were the only ones to start every contest.
Adreon led the team with exactly 400 assists. Benge and Lauren Cook rounded out the top three.
Amber McKinney was the clear netfront presence on offense as she led the team in kills (140), kill errors (102), and kill attempts (527).
Olivia Anthony had the most solo blocks (13) and overall blocks (22). Adreon led the way with 14 block assists.
Benge, the senior libero, led the team with 250 digs. McKinney was second with 164.
Benge also led the team in most major serving categories. This includes 53 aces, 291 successful serves, and 318 service attempts. Her 91.5% serving efficiency was second only to Sydney Septer’s 94.2%. Septer only missed 10 serves all year.
