The Indiana Township Rural Fire Department is holding a different kind of fundraiser this year due to COVID-19. Kurt Lambirth with the department says they will be raffling off 16 guns in a ceremony on Sunday.

“We’re having a gun raffle this year to raise some money because we haven’t been able to have our annual car show and breakfast because of COVID. We’ve put together a collection of 16 guns that we will be raffling off on Sunday, November 1st. We’re looking to sell a few tickets to get to our total of 500. One ticket is 40 dollars, and it gives you 16 chances to win a gun. We have some pretty nice guns coming out of Skunk River Arms.”

Those interested in purchasing raffle tickets can do so Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Knoxville Farm and Home and at the fire department in Attica. Participants must be at least 18 years old, and at least 21 years old for handguns. All participants must pass a background check to receive their gun. More information, as well as a list of the guns being raffled is available here.
