The latest update of COVID-19 cases in Indianola shows a growth of eight cases since the October 26th update, with 308 cases affecting the city and an additional 92 not within city limits but within the Indianola Fire District for a total of 400 cases to affect the city since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County continues to see it’s highest growth totals since the beginning of the pandemic, growing by 88 cases since the October 26th update, with a total of 1,339 cases to affect the county. Warren County also continues to see it’s highest number of active cases during the pandemic, with 351, up from 288.

On October 2nd, Warren County had been affected by 978 cases, which marks a growth of 361 cases in the month of October, the largest month-long growth of cases. Warren County has seven deaths from the virus.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has set a 15% positive test rate as a metric that might indicate schools should move to remote learning. As of Friday, Warren County is at 9.5%, while Marion County is at 14.5%. There are 31 counties currently over the threshold.
