Perhaps scarier than the vibe of Halloween is the fact that the Trojans have been idle for over a week following the cross country squad’s state qualifying meet at ACGC on October 22.

As the state meet happens in Fort Dodge, their two best will be doing typical teenager things today. Hailee McCormick missed out on one final meet her senior year by just 12 seconds and junior Devon Luing by just seven seconds.

It’s about as unfortunate as it can get for them, but Luing is sure to have a great shot next year. Fellow teammate Jenkin Fulmer will make a solid tandem next year once he is eligible to compete at the varsity level next year as a junior. The faces of the program moving forward have bright futures ahead.
