The Knoxville Optimist Club hosted “Treats in the Trunk” Saturday afternoon as part of Knoxville’s Halloween festivities. Numerous community organizations set up booths at Auld Park for children and their families to visit. Craig Kelley with the club says it was a special occasion to showcase the new playground equipment that the club helped purchase.

“It’s been installed this week. We worked with the city, and we both put $7,000 into the effort, and we put in three new pieces of equipment that the kids can play with. It’s really neat to have the relationship with the city where we can work together with them.”

The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was also on site to play music and hand out candy.
