Pella Regional Health Center and Knoxville Hospital & Clinics have released a joint statement on the growing number of COVID-19 cases. While they recognize that people want to resume normal activities, they say that people should continue to balance those activities with the concern for managing the health and safety of everyone.

The statement says that according to the CDC guidelines, the best way to prevent illness is to avoid exposure to this virus. It is strongly recommended that everyone cover their nose and mouth with a mask when around others. Masks should be used in conjunction with social distancing, keeping 6 feet between you and others. In addition, masks are strongly encouraged in settings where individuals might raise their voices, such as shouting, chanting, or singing.

In an effort to minimize the spread, the hospitals strongly encourage everyone to do all that they can to help manage the health and safety of everyone during this pandemic.
