Tomorrow, the Indianola girls swim team makes a case for the state meet in the regional meet at Southeast Polk High School. The Indians have had a successful season so far with a winning record, but will go up against some of the top metro programs in the state in their bid for the top competition. Head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA Sports the goal is to qualify in more competitions than last season, and it will be a mix and match to get there.
“When we are building the relays, I wish I could tell you who our fastest four athletes are. On most nights I can maybe tell you the fastest two, but it really depends on the night for this team, they are all capable.”
Last year, the Indians qualified three relays to the state meet.
