The Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad will lose no seniors this season. The Panthers return everyone from this year’s squad that saw Seth Walraven make the state meet for the first time in his career. Coach Michael Splavec says not only will everyone be back, but the middle school program will be feeding the high school squad more runners that could be varsity starters in the fall.

Splavec:
“The middle school team, the 8th graders coming up, had 6 of the 7 that won their conference meet so we’re excited to bring them in. Hopefully we get a summer with no COVID issues and get through June and July and be ready in August.”

The boys won the South Central Conference this season…placing seven runners in the top ten. Splavec adds Middle School Coach and former Panther Runner Jamie VanderVeer has built up the middle school program since taking over.
