Trojan volleyball Head Coach Joel Allman all year preached one word each and every day– consistency. Early on, it was difficult to get anything going.
They wound up losing nine of their first twelve sets in their first four games, but did turn the corner and were 9-6 at one point. Allman describes the consistency issues that plagued them early in this abridged 2020 campaign.
“We started off with so many new faces playing. We had early on two of our starters, one of who was a main contributor that had to miss time due to contact tracing. They didn’t test positive, just for contact tracing. That led to even more youth for us. We had one of our regular starting lineups out of the first 10-13 matches.”
The unidentified player thankfully didn’t contract COVID-19 and the Trojans went all year without any known positive cases.
