Marion County Attorney Ed Bull has been named President Elect of the Iowa County Attorney’s Association. The Iowa County Attorneys Association is a nonprofit corporation whose primary purposes are to encourage and maintain close coordination among county attorneys and to promote the uniform and efficient administration of the criminal justice system in our state through cooperation with law enforcement agencies, monitoring of legislation and the provision of continuing legal education for prosecutors.
Bull is the first Marion County Attorney to ever serve as President of the ICAA, which has been around since the early 1950s. Earlier this year Bull was elected by his peers to serve as the State of Iowa’s designee to the National District Attorney Association. Bull was to travel to Georgia later this month for NDAA’s Board of Directors Meeting. However, it is now being held virtually due to COVID-19.
