Francis (Fran) L. De Jong, 88, formerly of Leighton, IA passed early Sunday morning at The Cottages in Pella. Private Family Graveside Service with military honors will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery, Leighton, Iowa. Open visitation with no family present will be Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Van Dyk- Duven Funeral Home, Pella, Iowa. The family wishes memorials be made to Oskaloosa Christian Grade School, or Leighton Christian Reformed Church. Extended family and friends may attend the graveside service Thursday at 2:00 pm and show their support by remaining in their vehicles.
