With their three top scorers and all-conference players lost to graduation, the Simpson men’s basketball squad will look towards some role-players to potentially step into bigger roles this upcoming season. Collin Lister was the fourth leading scorer on the squad from last season at 7.3 points per game, while Andrew Curran only scored 3.0 points per game in a backup role, and will look to get into the starting lineup this season. Head coach Brad Bjorkgren tells KNIA Sports one of the advantages these players have is they already filled those roles in high school.

“Andrew Curran being from Waukee and Collin Lister being from Carlisle, two great basketball programs where they were leading scorers, I feel like those guys are ready to take off as sophomores and have great careers here at Simpson.”

The Storm are set to begin their season in 2021.
