Velma Shepherd, age 87, of Lacona passed away on Wednesday. A private family funeral service for Velma will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Milo. Burial will be at Indianola IOOF Cemetery. An open visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The family will be present to greet family and friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be made in honor of Velma to the Lacona Fire and Rescue or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lacona. Due to Iowa mandates facemasks will be required at all services, and adherence to the limit of no more than 15 people at one time.
