For the last several years, the top scorer in any Norwalk Boys Basketball game could fairly easily be predicted. Now that Iowa Mr. Basketball and UNI Panther Bowen Born has departed the team along with his 36.4 points per game, several players will need to work together to fill that void. Head Coach Chris Larson says that his team has a lot of undiscovered talent, and that just about anyone could lead the team in scoring on a given night.
Seniors Joe Brown, Grant Larson and Cole Tunender are the top returning scorers after averaging 3.9, 3.0 and 3.0 points per game, respectively. Remarkably, all three shot over 50 percent from the field last season. The Warriors will face an early test when they open the season on the road against Ballard Tuesday. That game will air live on 94.3 KNIA, with pregame coverage of the girls game beginning at 5:45 p.m. from Huxley.
