The Pella Police Department is seeking input from Pella residents, business owners, and other community stakeholders, regarding the use of UTVs and golf carts on City streets. The issue was first brought to the Pella City Council at Policy and Planning following their regular meeting on October 6th.

Council discussed questions received regarding current regulations in relation to golf cart and utility vehicle (UTV) use on City streets. Golf Cart Usage City Code Chapter 78 provides for the operation of golf carts on city streets and roadways. Currently, no Pella city ordinance provides for the lawful normal and routine operation of any all-terrain vehicle or UTV on any city street or roadway within the Pella city limits.
