Knoxville’s Maggie Wilkins will continue her basketball career at the next level as she recently announced her commitment to attend Wartburg College. Wilkins started her senior season for the Panthers on Tuesday leading Knoxville to a 39-32 win over PCM and tells KRLS Sports she picked Wartburg because of the winning tradition and how they made her feel right at home.
Wilkins:
“As soon as I stepped on the campus and saw the facilities it just made me feel more at home and the coaches and players were really nice and that put it over the top and they have a great education program so that helped.”
Wilkins scored 15 points to lead Knoxville on Tuesday night. Last season she averaged 23 points per game and topped the career 1,000 point mark. Wilkins season continues on Tuesday as the Panthers host Van Meter.
