The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team will be looking for their 12th double-digit win season in 13 years. Last year, the team finished 11-11, including 8-8 in the West Central Conference.
Pleasantville will also be looking for their first winning season since 2017-18 when they went 17-6. The Trojans will be returning two starters last year, including Junior Mason Scheve, who averaged 11.8 points per game last winter. Scheve’s point total was third on the team in 2019-20, behind graduating seniors Teron Mount and Mitch Harken.
New Trojans Head Coach Tom Wilkins tells KNIA Sports that he also expects Seniors Colby Sandholt and Caylor Clark to see increased minutes and playing time during the season.
Clark and Sandholt both played in all 22 games last season. Clark started every game and Sandholt started eight.
The Trojans tip off their season on Tuesday at Melcher-Dallas at 7:30 P.M. The game will be broadcasted on kniakrls.com on the KNIA3 stream.
