As the calendar turns to December, the Knoxville Public Library is hosting a mitten drive to donate to those in need. Director Roslin Thompson explains how to donate.
“We have a box set up in the lobby, and we are collecting mittens, gloves or hats for children and adults. We are asking for new items. We will give them to Helping Hands or the community school. You always see kids without hats and gloves during the winter months, and we think that this is a great idea, to do a collection, and we’ll donate them to the school or Helping Hands.”
This initiative is one of many holiday-related events the Knoxville Library is taking part in this month. View the complete schedule here. Hear more about December events at the Knoxville Library on an upcoming Let’s Talk Knoxville.
