Road-Use Tax Revenue is expected to take a slight dip for Warren County, but the Warren County Engineer’s Office is planning ahead for the potential budget shortfall. Warren County Engineer David Carroll tells KNIA News most projects planned will still go forward.

“We are going to see an impact, in a sense that our revenues could decrease 5-10%. We’ve been aware of it and tracking it, so there are a couple projects we might have to hold off until next year to make up for the shortfall in revenue. The road-use tax fund we do receive has about a two-month lag on it, so if you fill up at the pump in July we wouldn’t see that until September. So we haven’t seen quite as big of a reduction yet, but we are prepared for the 5-10% reduction in revenue.”
