November was the worst month to date of the COVID-19 pandemic in Marion County, with cases and fatalities nearly doubling in that 30-day span.

On November 19th, 22 Marion County residents were hospitalized with COVID-19 — the highest mark since the beginning of the outbreak — with the number of individuals receiving care staying at ten or higher since November 6th.

On Tuesday night, there were 2,083 total COVID-19 cases in Marion County — with 25 that are new since Sunday, and Marion County Public Health considered 1,938 to be recovered in their most recent weekly report.

Eighteen Marion County residents are currently hospitalized with the virus. A 21st death due to COVID-19 was reported to the State of Iowa Database Tuesday.
