The latest update of COVID-19 cases in Warren County from the Iowa Department of Public Health shows a growth of 151 cases since the November 30th update for a total of 2,970 cases to affect Warren County since the beginning of the pandemic. Active cases continue to fall after a significant growth in October, down 94 cases for a total of 1,275.

The IDPH shows one long-term care facility outbreak in the county, and Warren County has one additional death from the virus since the November 30th update, now with 15.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has set a 15% positive test rate as a metric that is a factor in indicating schools should move to remote learning. As of Monday, Warren County is over the threshold at 15.2%, while Marion County is over at 15.5%. There are 78 counties in Iowa currently over the threshold.
