The Melcher-Dallas School District has cancelled all activities through the end of December. Activities Director Jim Crozier tells KNIA/KRLS News that an outbreak of COVID-19 within the district prompted the cancellations, which began with Tuesday’s scheduled basketball games against Lamoni.

Additionally, Melcher-Dallas students in grades 6-12 will learn virtually through December 18th, while Pre-K through 5th grade will continue classes in person. As of Tuesday evening, the district reported that 18.3 percent of all students have been affected by COVID-19.
