The Knoxville Bowling Squads had their season opener on Tuesday night at Davis County. The boys defeated Centerville and the host Mustangs in a close contest by knocking down 2,393 pins to Davis County’s 2,360 with Centerville in third place at 2,160. Donovan Binns led the Knoxville boys with a 401 series and a high game of 217. The girls finished second with 1,741 pins behind Davis County’s 1,884 and Centerville was third with 1,721. Kiana Brown led Knoxville with a series of 253 and a high game of 145. The Panthers will host Newton this Saturday at the Statesmen Lanes in Oskaloosa.
