The Knoxville Basketball Squads take their longest road trip of the season to Bloomfield and face Davis County in the South Central Conference tonight. The Panthers are coming off of two very different ways of beating Chariton on Friday as the girls, after jumping out to a lead as high as 16 points held on for a ten point win, while the boys blew away the Chargers by 54 points. Girls Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KRLS Sports the Davis County Gym has been a house or horrors for his team over the years and says hopefully they can check off one of the toughest places to play in the conference.

Uitermarkt:
“We’re going on the road again. This Chariton and Davis County are the two toughest places to play in the conference, and we checked off Chariton on Friday and Davis County is quite a bit better than Chariton was.”

The same holds true for the boys game as Panthers Coach Jeff Larson echoes Uitermarkt’s thoughts that if you win at Davis County you have earned it.

Larson:
“It’s hard to play down there, and Jamie gets them playing well and they know what to do. They were right there with Eddyville for a while.”

Live coverage on 95.3 KNIA begins with the pregame at 6:15 and the girls tip off at six-30.
