The PCM Mustangs finally got some rest after a busy stretch to open the year, and they have a chance to get back over .500 tonight as they host a triangular against Colfax-Mingo and Roland-Story.

PCM sits at 7-8 on the year following a sweep at a quad last Saturday in Carlisle. They will look to go 2-0 tonight to regain that winning record. State medalist Colby Tool will also look to bounce back following his first loss of the year on Saturday. Landon Fenton is the only remaining Mustang without a blemish on his record this season.

Head Coach Jeff Nicholson explains what he has seen from his top athletes so far, along with 220 pounder Cooper Sloan.

“It’s hard to tell with Colby and Landon because they haven’t been on the mat very long. They haven’t been out of the first period much. I’m not sure if Landon has been out of the first period. Colby I don’t think has been out of the first period once or twice. So it’s hard to tell but they’ve definitely been dominant so far. Cooper is wrestling well. He seems to be getting better each match.”

Tonight’s festivities start at 6:00 in Monroe. Check back to kniakrls.com for full results of the meet no later than tomorrow morning.
