The Knoxville Wrestling Squad returned to action at the Jim Kinyon Invitational at Roland-Story on Saturday. The Panthers finished in tenth place with 62.5 points. Other place winners were, Kade Bellon in fifth place at 145 pounds, Tristan DeJong fourth place at 152 pounds, and Gage Rowley sixth at 195 pounds. The Panthers are off until January seventh when they welcome Albia, Chariton, and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont for a South Central Conference quad meet.

The Knoxville Bowling Squads fell to Bondurant-Farrar on Saturday. The boys lost to the Bluejays 2,962-2,312. Kyler Reidel rolled a high game for the Panthers of 190 and a high series of 379. Coach Shaun Renard tells KRLS Sports with some many of his boys able to get a large number of pinfall each meet, it is a tough decision of how to set up the baker games.

Renard:
I don’t have that 1 or 2 this year, instead I have 2/3 of my boys squad to set up those baker games, that does hep make my decision to set up the baker games and their solid kids so I can’t ask for much more than that.”

The girls also lost 2,238-1,909. Kiana Brown had a high series of 297 and a high game of 185. The Panthers’ next meet is Saturday January ninth at Sigourney.
