One area of emphasis for State Representative Dustin Hite has been how to expand high speed internet to rural Iowa. Hite says the need for more comprehensive broadband infrastructure was made more obvious by the expansion of remote working and learning due to COVID-19. Hite says he’s hopeful progress is made to support rural communities in particular who may not have the resources to develop their own telecom or in communities overlooked by private telecommunications companies.
