The Pella wrestling team is off to one of its best starts in program history. With eight dual wins and a 3rd place finish at their home invitational, the month of January is poised to be special for the grapplers in green and white. Damion Clark and Peyton Ritzert were both individual champions at the Bill Van Horn invitational before the Christmas holiday, and say they are excited to see how dangerous their team can be in the conference and at tournaments now that they are close to 100 percent health.

“I’m really glad that our whole team is back and I think we can do great things and this will be the best team we put out there for awhile–and I’m hoping we can go far because we’ve competed with some good teams,” Clark says.

Pella returns to dual wrestling action at home against conference favorite Norwalk on Thursday, January 7th.
