A rough shooting start at the beginning of the season has been much improved upon by the #14 in class 5A Indianola girls basketball team over their last several games, including a 35% effort from long range in a win against Little Hawkeye Conference rival Dallas Center-Grimes. Indians head coach Jeff Janssen tells KNIA Sports having better shot selection is making a huge difference.
“We really stepped up our focus and attention to detail on getting shots that we want to get. Getting our team’s best shot not necessarily our individuals best shot. That was a big focus for us.”
The Indians are on a six-game winning streak, and end their 2020 portion of the schedule with a 6-1 record. They will next play on January 2nd hosting Lewis Central.
