Over the past week, 156 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Marion County.
Two long-term care outbreaks at Accura Healthcare of Knoxville and The Cottages in Pella were considered resolved just before the Christmas holiday, according to the State of Iowa Coronavirus Database. There have been three facilities with significant spread of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There have been 46 fatalities due to the virus locally since September 1st — which was the date of first report, 26 of which have been declared in December.
