melcher-dallas-4

After sitting out last winter due to transferring from Twin Cedars, Hailey Hoch has stepped up during her first season with Melcher-Dallas.

During her freshman year at Twin Cedars, Hoch led the Bluegrass Conference in rebounding. This winter, she is currently the Saints’ top scorer and rebounder, averaging 14 points and 9.3 rebounds over three games. She had a 24-point, 19-rebound performance in the Melcher-Dallas’ win at Ankeny Christian. Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports that she is very impressed with how Hoch stepped up so far this season.

Goff also says that having her as another scoring option is great since conference opponents know how much of a threat Kynser Reed can score down low.

Melcher-Dallas’ first game back from break is Monday when they travel to take on Murray at 6:00 PM.
