Winter break is officially over for the Norwalk basketball teams, as the Warriors return to action Monday evening, hosting Van Meter in a girls-boys doubleheader.
The Norwalk girls will look to win their second game in a row, which would be their first win streak of the year. The Bulldogs are 4-3 overall, and will look to bounce back from a 54-15 embarrassment against Des Moines Christian to end 2020.
The Norwalk boys will try to extend their win streak to three games when they take on a strong Van Meter team. The Bulldogs enter 4-1 overall and are the #7-ranked team in Class 2A.
Boys coach Chris Larson believes this is the first ever varsity basketball meeting between Norwalk and Van Meter. Jon Mohwinkle and Steve Wermerskirchen will call the action on 94.3 KNIA. Pregame coverage begins at 6:00 p.m., with the opening tipoff from Norwalk High School at 6:15.
