After a couple weeks of rest, the PCM Mustangs boys basketball team gets back to action starting Monday at home against Earlham in a non-conference matchup.

The boys are 4-5, 2-2 in league play, but may have caught a break in their schedule as seven of their last 11 games will be played on their home floor. They are currently unbeaten in league play when playing in Monroe.

Head Coach Fred Lorensen feels as though it may not be the most important thing in the world, as the PCM faithful has always been supportive during his decades-long tenure.

“We always like to play at home. I’m not sure if home court is as much of an advantage as it might be in a normal college atmosphere, but it’s still nice to be at home where you’re familiar with things. Before the pandemic hit, we would always travel really well. We had a lot of fans that would go to our away games too. It’s not a huge factor, but it is certainly more fun to play at home then it is to be away.”

Tip off for the Mustangs and the Cardinals is at 7:30. PCM will be back in action at home for a double header on Friday against South Hamilton and can be heard on the KRLS3 stream at kniakrls.com.
