The Helping Hand of Warren County served residents more than ever in the year of 2020, with the economy affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Executive Director Sue Wilson tells KNIA News the food pantry numbers of customers served hit record highs during the worst months of the pandemic so far, with the average in November reaching approximately 275 families served, compared to an average of around 130. Wilson also says she appreciates the support from the community, and especially the volunteers who sacrifice their time and energy to help those in need.
