The Indianola City Council met in regular session Tuesday evening. Mayor Pam Pepper swore in three newly hired Indianola Police Department officers. The council approved the sale of property located at 506 W 2nd Ave, sewer upgrades and plans for the South Plan Lift Station, and temporary road closures for upcoming construction. The council also approved the renaming portions of R-63 Highway within the corporate limits of Indianola, and a professional services agreement for Valley Place Pavement Reconstruction before going into closed session to discuss litigation.

The council also held a study session after the meeting concluded, reviewing the status of Downtown Streetscape Project, and FY2022 budget materials.
