All four Pella and Pella Christian bowling teams fell by large margins on Saturday.
Pella’s teams were swept by Newton, with the Dutch boys flaling 2576-2196 and the Lady Dutch by a 2121-1693 score. Jayden Divelbiss paced Pella’s boys with a 340 two-game score, followed by 320 from Nathan Grandia. The Lady Dutch were led by a 262 two-game set from Anna DeNooy, closely followed by Sierra Vander Weert at 261.

Pella Christian was swept by Bondurant-Farrar. Head Coach Rod Blunck reports the Eagles’ boys had their best meet total of the season so far, and still lost by a total of 406 pins (2515-2109), and the girls were right at their season average and still fell by a total of 561 pins (2258-1696).
David Olivier led Pella Christian with a two game score of 317 followed closely by Dylan Eekhoff at 298 and Jack Zula at 261. Andrew DeVries participated for the first time at the varsity level and posted a 251.
The PC girls were led by Ella VanderHart at 283, Alexa Klaasen at 216 and Abi Maldanado with a 2 game score of 204.
The Dutch bowling teams are at Sigourney on Saturday, January 30th; Pella Christian will host Knoxville that same afternoon.
