With just a few weeks until the start of postseason play, the Norwalk girls basketball team is headed in the right direction. After a 1-5 start to the season, the Warriors have won seven of their last eight games, and currently stand at 8-6 overall. Norwalk has picked up wins over ranked teams Grinnell and Indianola this month, and are 6-2 in Little Hawkeye Conference play. Freshman Ava Johnson highlights what’s been going well during this stretch.

Johnson has started every game so far in her inaugural season, and is third on the team in points per game with 9.2. She’s also tied for first on the team in total rebounds with 82 this season.
