The Pella Police Department recently completed a restructuring of the department, with the aim of strengthening the service going forward to reward officers and dispatchers for the work they do.

Pella Police Chief Shane McSheehy credits the efforts of the staff in place to make promotions work, and with the support of the Pella City Council, the department is poised for growth going forward, and to retain more of the talent they attract through opportunities for promotion.

Those promoted include:
Captain Paul Haase
Sergeant: Justin Bailey, Shawn Veenstra, Bradley Vincent, Nathan Wolff
Senior Officer: Tim Donelson, Chad Hardman, Matt Huston, Dustin Schuldt, Justin Bailey, Shawn Veenstra, Bradley Vincent, Nathan Wolff
Lead Communications Specialist: Shelly Sample
Detective: Matt Huston; School Resource Officer: JR Pearson
