The Marion County Courthouse is closing at 3 p.m. today (Thursday 2/4) due to the severe winter weather. All non-emergency personnel will go home.

The Marion County Road Department will maintain operations until 6 p.m. this evening, and resume at 4 a.m. Friday. Wind and blowing snow will cause drifting; drifting and falling temps will cause icy spots. Complete clean up of the paved roads will be difficult over the coming days with wind and temperatures, so please be extra cautious. Motor graders are out this afternoon opening main routes.
