The most recent Knoxville snow ordinance was the longest of the season, lasting from midday Thursday through noon Friday. A season-low eight citations were issued. Arelene Worrall with the Knoxville Police Department tells KNIA/KRLS News that she believes the low number of citations was due to heightened awareness of this storm and the overall timing of the snowfall. Sidewalk enforcement officers are now operating throughout the city to ensure all sidewalks have been cleared.
