According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County has been affected by 4,856 cases of the COVID-19 virus since the beginning of the pandemic, a slight growth of only 35 cases since the February 4th update. The slow growth of active cases has also led to a significant drop in active cases, down 84 cases since the latest update now with 707, the lowest number of active cases since mid-November.
The Iowa Department of Public Health shows two Long Term Care outbreaks in the county, and 66 deaths associated with the virus, an additional four since the latest update.Sixty-two deaths had COVID-19 as the underlying cause, with four with the virus as a contributing factor.
