Three new deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported in Marion County to the state of Iowa Coronavirus database. Since the beginning of the outbreak, 66 fatalities have been attributed to the virus locally. There have been 32 new cases this week and 3,236 residents who have recovered, according to Marion County Public Health. According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, 865 individuals are fully vaccinated and 1,545 have had the two-shot series initiated as of Thursday. There is one Marion County resident hospitalized with COVID-19.
