A Melcher-Dallas man faces multiple charges after a series of alleged incidents earlier this month. On February 13th, a Melcher-Dallas police officer was contacted about a stolen firearm. The reporting party said she believed that 35-year-old Kyle Anderson was responsible for the theft of a .22 caliber rifle. Anderson says he exchanged the gun with a friend for “around two bowls” of marijuana. The gun has not been recovered.
Anderson faces charges of 5th Degree Theft and Trafficking Stolen Weapons, which is a Class D felony. Bond is set at $5,000.
