The All-Heart of Iowa Conference teams were officially released, and PCM was well-represented in the lineups.
The Mustangs’ girls had three players make the All-Heart of Iowa Conference Lineup. Making first-team all-conference was PCM Senior Lilli Baird, who averaged 11 points per game while knocking down 27% of her three-pointers. The Mustangs also had two seniors that were honorable mentions. Emma George finished the season averaging five rebounds and two steals a game, while Riley Hjortshoj averaged four points and over five rebounds in 2020-21.
PCM’s boys had five players that were represented in all-conference. Making first-team all-conference was Senior Andrew Mitchell, who averaged over 13 points per game and made 44% of his shots. Juniors Carson Vandelune and Durant Van Dyke made the all-conference second-team. Vandelune finished the season averaging 12 points per game while knocking down 30% of his threes. Van Dyke led the team in rebounding with nine boards a game to go along with his nine points per game. Gatlin Boell and Grant Landgrebe made All-conference honorable mention.
PCM’s girls finished 4-17 on the season with a first-round playoff loss at Nevada. The Mustangs’ boys finished 11-11 with a substate semifinal loss to Des Moines Christian.
