The Knoxville School Board considered its district facilities usage plan at Wednesday’s meeting, and decided to remain on Tier 2. This tier allows facilities to be used by groups of 25 people or fewer. Business Manager Craig Mobley says the board will likely be able to move to the next tier within the next few weeks.

“Just being very hopeful right now with our vaccination process ready to be completed the middle of this month, we’re hopeful we’re able to move from Tier 2 to Tier 3 of our facilities usage. This would basically open our facilities to everyone for large events. They’d still probably have to wear a mask and everything like that. However, it would open our facilities hopefully around the first part of April.”

This item will be discussed at the next board meeting on March 29th. View the details of the plan here.
