Indianola senior Kira Matthias announced her intention to play volleyball at Iowa Central Community College earlier this year, and a part of that decision, like with most college athletes, was how comfortable the college visit made her feel. Kira tells KNIA Sports from the coaches to the facilities, it was just a good fit.

“Actually I didn’t know if I wanted to play any sport in college, it actually kind of happened this fall that I didn’t want to give up volleyball yet. So I was looking out for coaches and got contacted by Iowa Central, and I was able to visit even during covid. It’s just a great program, the coaches were super friendly and outgoing, and I think that’s what kind of made my decision as well, it was the right fit for me.”
