For the first time since 2005, the Simpson and Central women’s basketball team will meet in the American Rivers Conference tournament tonight, a semifinal matchup between the 1-seeded Storm and the 4-seeded Dutch.

The Storm survived an early shooting slump against Luther in the quarterfinals to blow out the Norse 94-58, while the Dutch eventually won a war of attrition against the Spartans of Dubuque on their home court winning 57-48.

The undefeated ranked #7 in the country Storm put a 39-game winning streak on the line against Central, with the Dutch not having won a contest in the rivalry matchup since 2003.
