Pleasantville’s track teams are returning to action this season, and the theme for both teams is going to be youth.

 

Both track teams will have more than half of their rosters filled with freshmen and sophomores who have never participated in a high school track meet. For girls track Coach Aaron Fichter, it will be two-thirds of his roster that he will be working with for the first time in his career.

 

“I think just the experience. We have a young team. Almost two-thirds of the team are freshman and sophomores, which would be a group which has never run a high school track meet before.”

 

Fichter also states that having youth is a double-edged sword because of how young the team will be this upcoming spring.
