The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad is going to be very experienced and senior heavy this season. After losing last year to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Panthers are ready to begin this season. Coach Perry Bell tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his number one is Gabe Mattias, and Bell says he has worked on his game.

Bell:
“Gabe is one of those types of players that has gone on to play in getting ready for the season, he went to an offseason tournament and did well there.”

Along with Mattias, Bell says Carter Short, Andrew Orr, Nate Crane, Jaxon Zuck, and the lone junior of the group is Grant Liston. Bell adds the Panthers are confident that they can win the South Central Conference this season, but know it is not going to be easy. Knoxville will get underway by hosting North Polk on April 1st at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts.
