The Indianola City Council approved the West Highway 92 Project at their meeting Tuesday, a project that will replace trees that were taken down for construction approximately six years ago. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city was able to work with partners and interested parties to help get this done and make one of the entryways into Indianola look as good as possible.
“Councilwoman Schroeder brought this to our attention and staff started to work with our partners at the Iowa DOT. There is a grant that we were able to secure with them, went out to bid, and there are about 20 or some odd trees that will be going back in the right of way on Highway 92 west. And that is being funded by the DOT.”
